Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated IT Support Technician with at least 2 years of prior experience within IT Support.  As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for proving 1st / 2nd Line support to users across all sites as well as helping to with the day-to-day maintenance of the IT system, from installing and configuring new hardware and software to troubleshooting technical issues.  You will be helping to maintain the IT infrastructure including supporting a user base of 100+.  Applications used include Office 365 Suite, Windows 10 / Server 2008 – 2016, Adobe.  This list is not an exhaustive list and you may be asked to undertake ad-hoc projects or additional tasks as reasonably requested by your manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be working under the guidance of the IT Manager to provide assistance with computer network and associated hardware and software support.
  • You will be providing first line support to all end user and dealing with user issues, either face to face or using remote access tools, logging work using the IT helpdesk.
  • Assist with installation, configuration and troubleshooting end user desktop, laptops, printers, and tech equipment.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining IT documentation.
  • Assist with the delivery of equipment, security and maintenance of equipment and help maintain the asset register of all IT equipment.
  • Provide general administrative duties as required.

You will need to demonstrate the following:

  • You will need at least 2 years of prior experience within IT Support
  • Having prior experience working in a Help Desk support environment and of using remote desktop software to support users.
  • Having knowledge and understanding of e-mail, internet systems, anti-virus, installing and maintaining audio and visual systems.
  • You must have experience administrating a Microsoft 365 Cloud environment, and supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, and Windows 10/11 endpoints. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a willingness to learn new IT skillS
  • Passion for computers and technology
  • Like to get your hands dirty
  • Ability to multitask and priorities workload, and adapt to new processes and procedures in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledgeable in Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Windows systems, Laptop OS installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of PC & Laptop Hardware maintenance
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Good problem-solving skills and an aptitude for IT
  • Server experience preferable – Setting up AD groups, AD Permissions
