SINGAPORE – Metia Group, a global marketing agency, announced that Sean Donovan, Regional Director, Asia Pacific & Japan, has been selected as a speaker at the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) IP Week @ SG 2018. Sean will participate in the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) workshop discussing the topic, Disruption in the Digital Creative Economy: A Multifaceted Challenge with Great Potential.
IP Week @ SG is the world’s foremost gathering of IP thought leaders, legal experts, and innovative companies. Participants gain first-hand insights into IP commercialization and the winning strategies that help businesses expand into global markets. More than 3,000 participants attend the event from over 40 countries. Speakers and panelists attending come from various industries, including government, technology, motion picture, video, game designers, and book publishing.
Sean was invited to speak by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) to discuss Metia’s expertise and experience in how the different generations in Asia Pacific consume content and copyrighted works in a new digital age of social sharing.
Sean’s discussion “What Does ‘Growing Up Digitally’ Mean from the Perspective of Generation-Z and what are the Implications?” will observe the increased usage of social media and the importance of analyzing data in detecting and understanding tastes and habits of consumers when consuming copyrighted works. Sean will be joined by Cedric Manara, Global Head of Legal, IP, Google.
